What I'm Best Known For (in the Telecom World):

Being able to translate some of the most arcane subjects in the world into English.

Other Primary Areas of Expertise:

Telecom regulation, including access charges, local competition and universal service.

Summary of Professional Background:

25 years in telecom regulation for AT&T, MCI, CompTel and on my own.

Prediction on the Future of Telecom & Telecom Managers:

Telecom is more and more controlled by huge one-stop companies. However, this still leaves some niches for small agile players.

Weirdest Thing People Usually Don't Know about Me:

Before telecom, I was a school psychologist.

When I'm not talking or doing something in relation to telecom, I'm usually...

Playing or watching basketball, reading or listening to music. What can I say, I'm boring!

Book and author I'm currently reading:

"Still Jane" by Lisa Genova

CD currently or most recently in my car stereo:

Anything by Gordon Lightfoot, Stan Rogers or Ron Sexsmith

Blogs I follow regularly:

None

The stupidest thing I've ever seen anyone do or say in relation to a phone:

My father attempting to call his frine Al. He kept asking the preprogrammed phone to "call Al." When it didn't work, he tried "please call Al." No matter how polite he was to the phone, it didn't respond.
