Within five years of founding PAETEC in May 1998, Mr. Chesonis led the company to achieve the number two ranking in the 2003 Deloitte Fast 500 list of the fastest-growing public and private technology companies in North America. With the proposed acquistion of McLeodUSA, PAETEC now is on the verge of becoming one of the largest CLECs in North America, with $1.6 billion in annual revenue and 3.4 million access line equivalents.
