Summary of Professional Background:

Have worked 16 years as a business-to-business newsletter journalist and publisher after six years as a newspaper reporter. Have covered a wide spectrum of topics for professional business audiences, from bank regulation to home health care. Started newspaper career with a brief stint as a sports writer and photographer followed by a few years covering murder trials and civil suits as a police and court beat reporter. (There are some crazy people out there – I'm talking about the high school sports team coaches I used to interview, not the convicts.)

Prediction on the Future of Telecom & Telecom Managers:

VoIP technology will continue to be refined until it eventually works as reliably as the old TDM technology it replaced. Telecom managers will learn new skills, gain new respect and change their titles to something more encompassing. Wireless will become a big part of their jobs.  The History Channel will do a special two-hour presentation called "Telecom Managers: They Kept Businesses Talking," but it will be scheduled against the 10th season of "24" and the ratings will not be good.

Weirdest Thing People Usually Don't Know about Me:

My grandfather took care of President Eisenhower's farm in Gettysburg and my father stood guard as a Marine at the White House for President Kennedy.

It's a tie between leaving my cell phone on the hood of my car in the parking lot and calling people on the West Coast at 9 a.m. EST (6 a.m. Pacific).
