Summary of Professional Background:

Started with Southwestern Bell out of college – moved to ITT when the first electronic PBX’s were developed. Started consulting in the late ‘70s. Founded Control Key, a joint venture with NEC. In 1989 I started CT Link to help clients in the converging voice, data and networking industries with strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and distribution issues.

Prediction on the Future of Telecom & Telecom Managers:

The telecom industry is going to change faster than most people can. In less than 10 years the landscape will change with the addition of new players and the disappearance (or dramatic change) of some industry leaders. This will be similar to the shift from mainframe/midrange computing to PCs.

I am from Topeka Kansas.

The stupidest thing I've ever seen anyone do or say in relation to a phone:

A number of things and they all relate to dumb things clients have done. Like Intel thinking they could reverse engineer the proprietary digital handset interface for all the major PBX vendors and enter the telecom business.
