What I'm Best Known For (in the Telecom World):

Negotiating  telecom deals.

Other Primary Areas of Expertise:

I spend my days negotiating telecom and telecom related contracts.  I also assist our clients in regulatory matters involving telecommunications, and if necessary dispute resolution.

Summary of Professional Background:

Before I joined LB3 (at that time Levine, Lagapa & Block) and became a telecommunications attorney, I was a litigator at Morrison & Foerster (MoFo).  Prior to working at MoFo, I clerked for a Federal District Court Judge, Stanley Harris, in DC.  I attended the University of Virginia for both law school and undergrad.

Prediction on the Future of Telecom & Telecom Managers:

Life will never be boring.   Between technology changes and the fall-out from the mergers, for the next 3 – 5 years telecom managers will need extra vigilance, patience, and flexibility.

Weirdest Thing People Usually Don't Know about Me:

When I clerked, my judge’s office was above Judge Green’s (of divestiture fame).  Upon seeing the rows and rows of files from that case, I swore I would never practice telecommunications law.   Not the first or the last time I have had to eat my own words.

When I'm not talking or doing something in relation to telecom, I'm usually...

On a sports field, in a gym, or at a pool watching my kids play/compete.   On occasion, I sneak in a bike ride, skiing, or some gardening.

Book and author I'm currently reading:

I must have a short attention span because I usually have two or three books going at the same time.  Right now I am reading one on software licensing (good bedtime reading), a memoir, and I recently finished a biography on Teddy Roosevelt and started The Secret Life of Bees.

CD currently or most recently in my car stereo:

Hootie and the Blowfish (having recently seen them in concert)

The stupidest thing I've ever seen anyone do or say in relation to a phone:

Can't go there. Too painful.
