Education includes a BS in Business Administration-Operations Management Option from WVU, a Masters Certificate in Commercial Project Management from George Washington University school of Public Administration and a Masters Degree in Telecommunications from University of Denver. Prediction on the Future of Telecom & Telecom Managers: To survive, Telecom Managers (and IT managers) need to view the world of information and communications as a coordinated continuum rather than separate stovepipes, or opposite ends of the spectrum. Both telecom and IT need to embrace and accommodate the uniqueness of each form communication while erasing the artificial barriers between them. A cultural revolution among IT and Telecommunications is required to successfully integrate what are currently perceived as polar opposites. Those who continue to compete, rather than cooperate will be frustrated and ineffective. Those who are able to forge agreements among peers will be able to effectively move their organizations forward. Weirdest Thing People Usually Don't Know about Me: I once worked on a dairy farm milking cows. When I'm not talking or doing something in relation to telecom, I'm usually... Spending time with friends, doing anything outside, spending time with my son, reading, gardening. Book and author I'm currently reading: Waking the Tiger The Way Things Never Were: American Families and the Nostalgia Trap The Tipping Point CD currently or most recently in my car stereo: Faith Hill-Fireflies, Soundtrack from “City of Angels” The stupidest thing I've ever seen anyone do or say in relation to a phone: Talk loudly on a cell phone in public place about sensitive private or corporate matters and not realizing everyone around them had stopped talking to listen to their conversation. |
